Lesson 128

The world I see holds nothing that I want.

What this lesson is saying

Today’s idea is: “The world I see holds nothing that I want.” In ordinary English: The world as you have been using it cannot give you what you want. Stop asking it to.

Most of us treat seeing as the eyes reporting facts. This lesson says the mind is already writing a story on top of the report — mine, dangerous, ugly, important, “that’s just who they are.” Two people can look at the same face and have two different days. If you can take the story off for a minute, you are not stuck with yesterday’s version of them, or of you.

You do not have to believe it first. You use the words on one real judgment — of someone, of yourself, of a situation — and then you take the next ordinary step.

This is not saying

This is not telling you to go blind, or that the room is fake, or that nothing matters. The table is there. The person is there. What you added — the verdict — is what the lesson is after.

Why this can change a day

If the first look is already a judgment, then every conversation, every meeting, every glance in a glass is already a trial. Taking the story off is how a different hour becomes possible without anyone else changing first.

In your day

Same idea, three ordinary places — a relationship or encounter, the case against yourself, and a situation at work or at home. You do not need a special mood.

  1. With someone

A meeting where you must get the story out first — armor, proving you cannot be hurt.

    What to do

Say the words as written: “The world I see holds nothing that I want.” Notice the armor. You may still leave. You may still say no. You do not have to prosecute them to go.

  2. Toward yourself

You are kind in the room and cruel in the mind — a smile, and a case running underneath.

    What to do

Say the words as written: “The world I see holds nothing that I want.” You are not alone in the effects of your thoughts. Catch the case. Choose a different one. Then the smile can be true.

  3. At work, at home, or in a situation

A thought says you are failing, behind, not enough — and it feels like a report from God.

    What to do

Say the words as written: “The world I see holds nothing that I want.” Let it be a thought. Do not build a self from it. Watch it pass. Then the next decent hour.

Two voices in the same mind

Hear which one is running. Then today’s idea, on a real person — or on you.

Unloving thought

If I defend myself I am safe. A clear no is not enough — they must feel it. The wounded one is who I am.

Jesus’s way

“The world I see holds nothing that I want.” Use the idea on what the eyes actually have — including the face you already decided about. No exceptions for what you like or dislike.

Jesus’s commentary for Lesson 128

Tina reads the official workbook lesson first. Then she channels. The video is the source. The notes below are study notes of that sitting — not a transcript, and not A Year of Forgiveness.

After the reading

In the video · Jesus speaking

This is the channeled portion — after Tina has read the lesson. Study notes of that sitting. Not a transcript.

  • After Tina reads Lesson 128, the channeling is living “The world I see holds nothing that I want.” He will not let it stay a slogan. Use these words. Do not swap them for a thought you like better.
  • Use “The world I see holds nothing that I want” on one actual person or situation today. A theory about “people” is a stall. Then do the next decent thing.

How to sit today

Part I · Forgiveness

The idea is above. This is the one sitting this number asks — how often, how long, and the words. Not a second lesson.

How often
Two extended sittings, plus hourly remembrance, plus when temptation arises
How long
Fifteen minutes twice is the standard for this stretch of Part I
Through the day
A reminder on the hour — even a minute if that is all you have.
When shaken
When the day’s idea is the medicine, use it on the actual situation, not later in a chair.

How

  1. Read Lesson 128’s idea (and the prayer or specific form it gives). Spend the sitting in that idea, then give the rest of the day to remembering it.

Longer sitting

Two extended sittings — fifteen minutes twice is the standard for this stretch

  1. Today’s idea is: “The world I see holds nothing that I want.”
  2. Read the idea (and the prayer or specific form the official lesson gives). Spend the sitting in that idea.
  3. Say, slowly: “The world I see holds nothing that I want.”
  4. Let related thoughts come. Return to the idea when the mind wanders. Give the rest of the day to remembering it.

Short / hourly

A reminder on the hour — even a minute if that is all you have

  1. Say, slowly: “The world I see holds nothing that I want.”

When shaken

When the day’s idea is the medicine, use it on the actual situation, not later in a chair

  1. Say, slowly: “The world I see holds nothing that I want.”

Spalding

“The world I see holds nothing that I want.” Seeing here is a mind’s frequency, not better eyeballs. He is retraining perception so love can use it. Practice on what is actually in front of you, including the face you do not like. That is the whole method.

Ra

Love/light is the stuff of the octave. Seeing with God is not metaphor — it is a shift toward that spectrum. Meditation (session 10) is the daily tool.
