Text

Introduction and thirty-one chapters. Jump by number, or open a chapter for the section-by-section walkthrough. Chapter 1 includes the fifty miracle principles.

  1. Opening

    Introduction

This book is mind training, not a belief system to collect. Only time is optional. The whole Course is already in four lines: nothing real can be threatened; nothing unreal exists; that is peace.

  2. Chapter 1

    The Meaning of Miracles

A miracle is a change of mind from attack to joining. It is natural when you love. Fear is a call for that change, not a proof that love is weak. There is no order of difficulty: small and large use the same mechanism.

  3. Chapter 2

    The Separation and the Atonement

You had a tiny mad idea that you could leave God, then a second idea that the first one worked. That is the separation. Atonement is the correction of that idea — not a payment, not a sacrifice. You are afraid of it because it would end the ego’s job.

  4. Chapter 3

    The Innocent Perception

Perception is how a split mind sees. Knowledge is what you are when you are not split. Innocence is not naivete. It is refusing to use seeing as a weapon. The Last Judgment, here, is mercy — the end of judging — not a courtroom.

  5. Chapter 4

    The Illusions of the Ego

The ego is not a little person inside you. It is a belief that you are a private self who must win and defend. You cannot fight it. You stop using it as your advisor. The Holy Spirit uses the same mind as a classroom.

  6. Chapter 5

    Healing and the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the part of your mind that never believed you left God. Healing is always of the mind. The body may follow or not; that is not the definition of the work. Sharing is how healing stays true.

  7. Chapter 6

    The Lessons of Love

Love’s lessons are simple and hard: to have, give; to have peace, teach peace; be watchful only for God. The crucifixion, here, is a demonstration that attack does nothing — not a blood payment to an angry God.

  8. Chapter 7

    The Gifts of the Kingdom

The Kingdom is not a place you travel to. It is a mind that has stopped shutting people out. What you give, you have. Projection dumps your guilt on them. Extension shares what is true.

  9. Chapter 8

    The Journey Back

You are not traveling to God. You are ceasing to leave. Time, the body, and the wish to be the author of yourself are the delay. The Holy Spirit uses all three as a way back.

  10. Chapter 9

    The Acceptance of the Atonement

Accept the correction for yourself. That is the only function. You cannot heal others as a way of not forgiving. A little willingness is yours. The last step is God’s.

  11. Chapter 10

    The Idols of Sickness

Sickness can be used as an identity and as a way not to know what you are. Care for the body. Do not worship the symptom, and do not use attack as a way to solve problems.

  12. Chapter 11

    God or the Ego

Every moment you choose God or the ego. You cannot keep a private war and a relationship with Love. The world you see is a witness to which teacher you hired.

  13. Chapter 12

    The Holy Spirit's Curriculum

The Holy Spirit does not need a different world. The one you made is the homework. Guilt is attractive because it keeps the story of a private self. The real world is what remains when you stop dumping that story on people and places.

  14. Chapter 13

    The Guiltless World

Guilt is the ego’s engine. A world without it is still this world, seen without the wish to punish. The holy instant is a gap in which you do not remember guilt. Time is kind when it is used for that gap.

  15. Chapter 14

    Bringing Illusions to Truth

Do not try to make the dream true enough to live in. Bring the dream to truth and watch it thin. The circle of Atonement means what you accept for yourself is already for them.

  16. Chapter 15

    The Holy Instant

The holy instant is a moment you stop using time the ego’s way. A special relationship uses a person to complete you. A holy one uses the bond to remember God. What you want from them, you must find in God first, or you will devour them.

  17. Chapter 16

    The Forgiveness of Illusions

True forgiveness does not say they sinned and you are noble. It refuses to join them in the dream of sin. True empathy does not dive into their pain and drown. It remembers who they are while they hurt.

  18. Chapter 17

    Forgiveness and the Holy Relationship

A holy relationship is not a perfect couple. It is two people who agree to use the bond for truth instead of for need. The Holy Spirit takes that agreement as a classroom. Faith is staying with the goal when the old war returns.

  19. Chapter 18

    The Passing of the Dream

You do not have to undo the whole dream. You need a gap — a little willingness. The Holy Spirit uses the gap. Honest minutes beat a performed hour.

  20. Chapter 19

    The Attainment of Peace

You say you want peace, then you pick a fight with it. The obstacles are loyalties: wanting drama more than peace, using the body to get, being attracted to endings, being afraid of God. Peace is what remains when those loyalties are seen.

  21. Chapter 20

    The Vision of Holiness

Holiness is not a glow around you. It is what you see when you want to see. Look at a person until the story of guilt cracks. Christ, here, means the true self you share — theirs and yours.

  22. Chapter 21

    Reason and Perception

You believe what you want to see, then you see what you believe. Reason, here, is not debate. It is the Holy Spirit’s faculty that asks: do you want the truth? That is the last unanswered question.

  23. Chapter 22

    Salvation and the Holy Relationship

You will not be saved alone, because you were not damned alone. A holy relationship is salvation’s classroom. The attack thought ends softly: the Holy Spirit’s answer is not a counter-war.

  24. Chapter 23

    The War Against Yourself

The ego’s world is a war against your own reality. Seeing the war is most of ending it. The ‘laws of chaos’ are the ego’s physics: someone must lose. They are not God’s laws.

  25. Chapter 24

    The Goal of Specialness

Specialness is the wish to be the exception — more important, more hurt, more holy. It is the ego’s home. It is the enemy of God because God has no exceptions. Give specialness to the Holy Spirit and it becomes a holy relationship.

  26. Chapter 25

    The Justice of God

God’s justice means no one loses. It looks unfair to the ego because it will not honor guilt. There is no sacrifice in God. The Christ in you and in them is the same.

  27. Chapter 26

    The Transition

You are already between the dream and the truth. That itch is not failure. It is transition. A friend is appointed in the mind — the Holy Spirit — so you are not walking the bridge alone.

  28. Chapter 27

    The Healing of the Dream

Healing is a change in the dreamer, not a better script. You are not the hero of the dream. That is good news. The picture of crucifixion is the ego’s story of you: innocent victim of a cruel world. Look at the dreamer instead.

  29. Chapter 28

    The Undoing of Fear

Fear ends when you notice you agreed to it. The body is a limit the mind asked for. The fear of God is the last fear: if Love is here, the private self is unemployed.

  30. Chapter 29

    The Awakening

Awakening in this book is quiet. You forgive the world — you stop using it as proof of sin — and the gap between you and God closes. No fireworks required. Wake in the life you have.

  31. Chapter 30

    The New Beginning

A new beginning is available whenever you want the Holy Spirit’s judgment instead of yours. This chapter is a manual: rules for decision. Choose again. Then again. That is the path.

  32. Chapter 31

    The Final Vision

The Text closes: you walk with Christ because you are that. The self you gave away was never lost. The final vision is not a sight in the sky. It is a way of seeing that does not end.

Lessons 1–50 · Undoing

  1. Lesson 1

Nothing I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place] means anything.

Manual for Teachers

The questions a mind asks once it has begun to teach. Teaching, in this Course, is the same as learning.

  1. Introduction

    In plain words

The Manual is not a clergy handbook. It answers the questions a mind asks once it has begun to teach — which, in this Course, is the same as to learn. A teacher of God is anyone who has made a deliberate choice to see another as innocent. The form of the teaching is irrelevant. The decision is the ordination.
  2. Who Are God's Teachers?

    In plain words

They are those who have chosen to teach peace. There is no other qualification. Tenure is measured in willingness, not years. A teacher may not know the Course and still be one; a scholar of the Text may not.
  3. Levels of Teaching

    In plain words

Every encounter is a teaching assignment. Some last a moment, some a life. The Holy Spirit uses all of them. You do not pick your students. You meet them.
  4. The Selection of Students

    In plain words

Students are selected by the Holy Spirit, not by your preference. Specialness wants a following. Teaching wants whoever is sent.
  5. What Are the Characteristics of God's Teachers?

    In plain words

Trust, honesty, tolerance, gentleness, joy, defenselessness, generosity, patience, faithfulness, and open-mindedness. These are not virtues to display. They are what remain when attack is no longer useful. The Manual develops each as a practical undoing.
  6. How Is Healing Accomplished?

    In plain words

Healing is the result of a joining, not a technique. The teacher of God does not heal. The teacher remembers, with the other, that there is nothing to heal in truth — and the body is then free to follow. Forms of healing vary; the content does not.
  7. Is Healing Certain? / The Function of the Teacher

    In plain words

Healing of the mind is certain when the decision is whole. The body's course is not the proof. The teacher's function is to remember this so the patient is not burdened with the healer's fear.
  8. How Can Perception of Order of Difficulties Be Avoided?

    In plain words

There is no order of difficulty in miracles. The Manual applies this to the teacher's day: the 'big' problem is not bigger. Treating it as bigger is the only problem.
  9. Reincarnation

    In plain words

The Course neither affirms nor denies reincarnation as a necessary belief. It is useful if it helps you forgive time, useless if it becomes a story of delay. Healing is always now.
  10. How Will Termination of the Body Occur?

    In plain words

Death is not a failure and not a triumph. A teacher of God lays the body aside when its usefulness as a communication device is over, without drama if possible. Suicide is treated as a delay, not as a damnation.
  11. Psychotherapy and Healing

    In plain words

Therapy is holy when both come to learn. It fails when one is the expert of the other's mind. The Manual's psychotherapy pamphlet (often studied with it) says the same: joining heals; diagnosis without joining does not.
  12. Prayer, Forgiveness, Healing

    In plain words

Prayer is not a request from lack. It is a remembering of what is already given. Forgiveness is the form prayer takes toward a brother. Healing is the result. The three are one motion.
  13. Clarification of Terms

    In plain words

Mind, spirit, Jesus, Christ, Holy Spirit, God — the Course's glossary. Christ is the Self we share; Jesus is the one who first completed the curriculum and remains as elder brother. God is not a person and not an abstraction you can use to hide. The terms are bridges. Do not live in the glossary.
  14. Epilogue

    In plain words

The Manual ends in companionship. You are not sent out alone. The Holy Spirit, Jesus, and those who have gone before walk. The course is over when you know you need no course — and until then, you use it.

Sanctum writes original study notes and a crosswalk. The Course remains the Foundation’s book — these rooms are study notes, not their typesetting. Tina’s books and videos remain hers; her official 2019 commentaries are embedded. The Ra sittings are the public transcripts, for free personal study, not for sale. Official doors: acim.org, channelingjesus.com, lawofone.info, and llresearch.org.
