Workbook · Part I
Lesson 95
I am one Self, united with my Creator.
What this lesson is saying
Today’s idea is: “I am one Self, united with my Creator.” In ordinary English: There is one Self, and you share it with God. The private self is a pose.
You are used to building a self from parents, work, the glass, the mood, the ranking of other people. This lesson says what you are was given, not achieved: as God created you, and so are they. That is not a compliment. It is a fact you practice when the other self-image is loud.
You do not have to believe it first. You use the words on one real judgment — of someone, of yourself, of a situation — and then you take the next ordinary step.
This is not saying
This is not a self-esteem project and not a claim that you are more powerful than God. You will not lose your personality. The sharp edges — the attack on you, the attack on them — can go.
Why this can change a day
If you are a private, failing self, then of course you must defend, compare, and prosecute. If you are as God created you, so is the one who irritated you, and the war has nothing left to stand on.
In your day
Same idea, three ordinary places — a relationship or encounter, the case against yourself, and a situation at work or at home. You do not need a special mood.
With someone
You are about to punish with silence, a look, a remark at the door.
What to do
Say the words as written: “I am one Self, united with my Creator.” Wait. If a fact is needed, say only the fact. Leave the wish to hurt. You do not have to stay in the room.
Toward yourself
Tomorrow is on trial — a meeting, a what-if, a verdict not yet in — and this hour is already lost.
What to do
Say the words as written: “I am one Self, united with my Creator.” Make the one plan that is actually due. Come back. This hour has a next step. Take it. Leave the later hour.
At work, at home, or in a situation
The year, or the sitting, feels finished — a certificate, a rest from seeing, judgment can come back.
What to do
Say the words as written: “I am one Self, united with my Creator.” This instant — not a diploma. Give it. You will take it back when the judgment starts. Give it again. The commentary ends. The practice does not.
Two voices in the same mind
Hear which one is running. Then today’s idea, on a real person — or on you.
Unloving thought
They started it. A sharp edge would settle this. If I wait I will be a doormat.
Jesus’s way
“I am one Self, united with my Creator.” Identity, not a mood. The same sentence is true of them. That is not a self-esteem project. You are not more powerful than God, so you can rest.

- Same identity, more stubbornly.
- He knows you will forget by 10 a.m.
- Forgetting is the ego’s job.
- Returning is yours.

How to sit today
Part I · One Self
The idea is above. This is the one sitting this number asks — how often, how long, and the words. Not a second lesson.
- How often
- Keep to five minutes of each hour; use the first five minutes of the hour when you can
- How long
- Five minutes
- Through the day
- Repeat the idea as frequently as possible between the sittings.
- If you forget
- This lesson speaks directly to lapses. Do not use a missed hour as an excuse to drop the rest of the day. Return as soon as you can. Guilt about missing is another idle thought — not a reason to quit.
How
- Begin with certainty: you are One Self, united with your Creator. Close your eyes and let the words replace false ideas.
- Then try to feel the meaning. You are One Self, united and secure in light and joy and peace.

This lesson is practice in polarizing with the person in front of you. Service to others is not a slogan. It is whether you treat them as the same being you are.
