Do not shuffle. Do not ask what will happen later this week. Lay the pictures the way they are numbered. Look. Then read the answer. Then live. Fifteen minutes is enough.
You are not reading the future. You are looking at a map of what you are already doing. Ra taught three sittings: the same job in three rooms, then two cards that make a verb, then you plus The Choice. Polarize (choose love this hour) is the exam the whole table is training. This page is those sittings, with the answers written in, so you are not left staring.
Not a daily draw
A pulled card as fortune is a later use, and a confused one. These 22 are a curriculum. You study them in the order given, the way you study lessons — not the way you flip a coin.
The numbers as given
Justice is 8. Strength is 11. The Fool is 22, last, The Choice. If your book says otherwise, close that book for this sitting.
Not one card as a personality
“I am a Magician” is already filling the Matrix. The Magician is unused mind. You are the whole table, this hour, in one of the jobs.
Not mixed names
The contact used the Church of Light Egyptian tarot (Brotherhood of Light). On that deck the Hermit may say Sage, Strength may say Enchantress, the Hanged Man may say Martyr, Temperance may say Alchemist, the World may say Adept. Function names (Matrix, Catalyst…) are the teaching. The picture-name is a nickname.
Names on the deck
The contact used the Church of Light Egyptian tarot (Brotherhood of Light). These pages use common picture-names. Ra’s function-name is the teaching. If your printed card says Sage or Enchantress, you are in the right row.
The Choice is the vote. The Moon is the fog after the vote. Control is often mixed polarity this hour — forcing a person, an illness, or an outcome. Service-to-self is a dedicated life of that control. Most hours are mixed. You polarize by dropping control of this one situation.
Ra’s word. It means move this hour toward service-to-others or toward service-to-self. It is not a mood, a title, or a lifetime grade. It is the next sentence.
The Choice (22)
The vote itself: love the person in front of you, or try to own them. Numbered last because the twenty-one stations exist so this step can be taken while the ground is hidden.
How you live the vote when nothing is clear — weeks after a hope, a sickness, a fight, a job that ended. Control demands a streetlamp. Polarize (choose love this hour) walks the next kind step in the dark.
Trying to force this hour is usually mixed polarity: fear wearing will. Service-to-self is rare and steep — a life organized around control of others. Do not hunt that path. Notice the smaller thing: the case you are building about a person, and whether you will drop it.
Do them in order the first time. Fifteen minutes. Then live the day. Ra’s third stage is become the persona and know when it helps — not collect the pictures.

Look at the 3×7 grid below until you can point: mind is thought, body is the vehicle, spirit is the long way home. Each row is the same job in those three rooms. Card 22 sits outside the grid — it is the exam every row serves.
If you cannot yet say that in one breath, do not go on. That one breath is the whole method.
2 · One row — the same job, three rooms

Start with Matrix (row 1). Look at Magician, Justice, Devil. Do not name symbols. Ask only: where am I unused? Then read the answer on this page. Close the pictures. One ordinary kindness.
One row a sitting. Tomorrow: Potentiator. Do not study the whole deck in one sitting.
3 · One pair — two cards that make a verb

After you have seen all seven rows once, sit with a pair. Empty with what fills it. What happened with what you made of it. The fork with the road after. You with The Choice. Ask: what is acting, and what is being acted upon?
The pair is a motion, not two posters. If you cannot name the verb, you are still collecting.
4 · This hour
5 min
Name which row you are in today, and which pair. One sentence. Then do the kindness the row asks. That is the third stage Ra named: become it, and know when it helps.
If the sentence is metaphysics and not a room you were in, start again at sitting 2.
The table
In plain words
Three rooms across the top: mind (thought), body (the vehicle you walk in), spirit (the long way home). Seven jobs down the side, from empty waiting-room to new weather. Read a row left to right — that is the same job in three rooms. Card 22 sits under the table. It is the exam every row is training for: love people, or control them.
The Fool is last, not first. Pair it with each Significator: Hierophant, Hanged Man, Sun. Love or control. Every other picture is training for this step.

One row a sitting. Look at the three pictures first. Then the answer. Then stop.
Empty is the job. Magician: a mind with the lights on and nobody working yet. Justice: a body that has slept and has not yet been asked to lift. Devil: spirit in the dark before a strike of light. Empty is not broken. Empty is how anything can enter.
The answer
The same job in three rooms: potential that has not been fed. People mistake all three for power, or for evil, or for a verdict. They are waiting rooms. If you fill them with a story about who you already are, the next card has nowhere to stand. Ra’s Magician is not a wizard. Justice is not a court. The Devil, as Matrix of Spirit, is not a demon — it is spirit unpotentiated, in the dark. Look until unusedness is obvious, then stop filling it.

You do not invent the next step. Something reaches the empty place and makes it able to work. For thought: the deep self (Priestess). For the body: a quiet knowing (Hermit). For spirit: a strike of light (Tower). Get quiet enough, or honest enough, to be touched.
The answer
Potentiator means that which makes potent. The Magician cannot feed himself. The body cannot lecture itself into rest. Spirit cannot think its way out of the dark. In each room a different hand reaches in: intuition, instinct-become-wisdom, sudden illumination. The Tower looks like ruin because the structure that was keeping spirit unused has to crack. A miracle often feels like that. Do not hunt lightning. Become reachable.

Deep mind. She is already in the room. She does not storm in.

3 · Catalyst
What happened — and can I stop calling it a verdict?
This is what shows up. Empress: people and feeling. Wheel: luck, timing, the turn of events. Star: a hope you cannot pocket. None of these is your grade. They are food. The next row is what you made of them.
The answer
Ra is blunt: catalyst is overwhelmingly unconscious. It comes through the veil already filtered. The Empress is not “women.” She is the arriving of other-selves and of the fertile, messy, felt world. The Wheel is not fate as a jailer — it is fortune as offering. The Star is spirit’s catalyst: faith you cannot own. If you attack the person, curse the timing, or demand the star prove itself, you are refusing the row. The workbook is almost entirely training for this row.

In a life · A short email. A delay in traffic. A sky that is suddenly kind. Meet it without a case. That is the sitting.
This is what you made of what showed up. Emperor: the mind built a structure (a case, a plan, a kindness). Strength: the body handled the animal of appetite and fear. Moon: you walked the night, or you refused. Love or control is stored here — not in the event.
The answer
The Empress happened. The Emperor is what you built from her. Same for Wheel/Strength and Star/Moon. Ra: negative catalyst looks louder; the magical use is on the other path and takes longer to see. Strength is not a lion-tamer show. It is the animal of the body no longer running the house. The Moon is not insanity — it is spirit’s night, in which faith is used or refused. If you are still narrating the event as the meaning, you are stuck in catalyst. The meaning is what you did with it.

In a life · Not “they were rude.” “I made a case, or I didn’t.” That sentence is this row. Keep it that short.
This row is you as you are this hour — the one who will vote. Hierophant: a mind that can bless or rule. Hanged Man: a body that can give, or collect a debt. Sun: light that warms the room, or a spotlight on you. Pair each with The Fool. That pairing is the exam.
The answer
The Significator is not a title. It is the mind/body/spirit complex as it stands after experience. The Hierophant can bless or dominate. The Hanged Man can yield or pose as a martyr. The Sun can radiate or glare. Ra pairs this row with The Choice because the actor is who votes. You do not skip to 22 from a theory of yourself. You look at the priest, the yielded body, the shining, and you ask which way they face — toward other-selves, or toward a throne.

6 · Transformation
What old configuration is dying — and into which path?
An old way of using the room dies. Lovers: the mind takes a fork (love or control) — not a wedding. Death: the body agrees the old chemistry is over. Judgement: spirit gets up. Not drama. A change of use.
The answer
The Lovers are not a romance. They are the fork inside thought: service-to-others or service-to-self, already, before the body moves. Death is not a funeral card. It is the body agreeing to a new chemistry — the old appetite, pose, or illness-as-identity released. Judgement (the Last Trump) is not a court. It is resurrection of use: the spirit no longer buried. Service-to-self reads this row as winning, surviving, being declared right. Service-to-others reads it as becoming useful to love. Same pictures. Opposite jobs.

The answer
The Great Way is the environment that appears when transformation has occurred. The Chariot is not “I am a winner.” It is mind as a vehicle with two pullers (the dual possibilities) and a hand on a sphere of light. Temperance is alchemy: the body as a mixing of opposites into a drinkable whole. The World is not a trophy. It is cosmos as the room spirit now inhabits. You do not chase these cards. They show up as a by-product of a real death in the row above. If you are decorating a chariot and have not chosen at the Lovers, you are while pretending.

Is my mind unused enough to be taught, or am I already giving the lecture?

Lay the Magician, then the Priestess. He is a lit room with nobody working. She is the one who can work him. If he is already giving a lecture, she has no door. Get quiet. That is the whole pair.
The answer
Matrix of Mind is the unfed conscious self. Potentiator of Mind is the unconscious, the veil, the feminine of mind. Ra: without potentiation the conscious mind has no inwardness — the Magician’s hand reaches toward what is locked from it (the caged bird, spirit unreleased). Prayer, the sudden right word, the Course’s Voice: Priestess. You do not storm her. You become empty enough to be reached. “I already know” is this pair failed.
In a life · Before you send the message, sit thirty seconds unused. If a kinder sentence arrives that you did not invent, that was the Priestess. Send that one.
Am I still arguing with the event, or can I see the structure I built?

Empress is the arriving (people, feeling). Emperor is the building you made from it — a case, a plan, a kindness, a throne. The event is not the meaning. Your structure is.
The answer
Catalyst of Mind is offered, mostly from the unconscious, already through the veil. Experience of Mind grasps what it is given; it does not reach. Ra: the face turns toward the harder catalyst because it is louder; magic is on the other path. If you are still in “they did this,” you are looking at the Empress and calling her the Emperor. Name the structure: grudge, story, schedule, blessing. That naming is the sitting. Then you can choose to rebuild it as service.
In a life · Someone was brief with you. Empress. The briefness is not the card. The accusation you constructed in the next ten minutes is the Emperor. Take the accusation down. That is the pair used well.
Have I chosen, or am I decorating a vehicle I have not steered?

Lovers (The Two Paths) is the vote inside thought: love or control. Chariot is how the day moves once you have voted. Do not polish the chariot first. Choose.
The answer
Transformation of Mind is the death of an old mental configuration at a fork: love or control. The Great Way of Mind is the environment that appears after that death — a vehicle, two pullers, a sphere of spiritual power in the hand (Ra preferred the sphere to a sword). Pretending is talking like a charioteer while the Lovers are still unchosen. Honest use: one clear inner vote toward another-self, then notice that the day has a road.
In a life · You can keep the old story about a person, or you can take the other path in thought before you see them. That inner vote is the Lovers. How the conversation then moves is the Chariot. The vote is the work.

Matrix of Body is potential of the group-center (yellow) vehicle before a day uses it. Potentiator of Body is the inner knowing that inhabits bone. People take the Hermit as exile. Ra’s direction is the opposite: wisdom into incarnation. A body ignored is an unused Matrix. A body punished is a Matrix filled with personal/one-to-one (orange). The pair, used well, is one honest physical kindness that makes love more possible tonight — sleep, water, a walk, stopping the grind — without making the body the Significator of the Self.
In a life · You are tired and still arguing in your head. Justice is the tiredness, unused as information. The Hermit is “stop now.” Stop. The argument can wait. That is body potentiated.
Is luck running the house, or is the vehicle in hand?

The Wheel is what the body-world spun: illness, money, timing, weather. Strength is whether the animal of appetite and fear is still driving. You do not stop the Wheel. You handle the animal.

Catalyst of Body is fortune — the turn you did not author. Experience of Body is the Enchantress/Strength: the living vehicle no longer feral. Strength as 11 is what you made of the spin. Service-to-others: the body as servant so the heart can work. Service-to-self: the body as a tool of domination or a project of perfecting the self. The sitting is: name the spin without curse, then one act of handling (eat like a grown person, do not take the third hit of rage, walk instead of wound).
In a life · The delay, the ache, the appointment moved. Wheel. Strength is not punching it. Strength is the body staying kind while the wheel turns.

What appetite or pose is actually finished — and what is the new mix?

Death is the body agreeing the old chemistry is over. Temperance (the Alchemist) is the new mix — not a diet religion, a usable peace in the flesh. Funerals are optional. The change of use is not.

Transformation of Body is transmutation: the old configuration of the vehicle dies. Great Way of Body is alchemy, the royal road of the flesh when it is no longer at war with itself. You cannot alchemize a pose you will not let die. Small deaths count: a grudge held in the jaw, a stimulant that was identity, a posture of being the strong one. After the death, mixing is possible — rest with work, fire with water, will with kindness. If you skip Death and buy Alchemist tools, you have a collection, not a practice.
In a life · You put down the third cup, or the old limp you were using as a story. That is Death. The evening that then works in the body is Temperance. Do not announce it.

The Devil as Matrix of Spirit is the dark before lightning, not a horned verdict. The Tower is the strike. It feels like ruin because the roof was the prison. Do not rebuild the roof tonight.

Matrix of Spirit is potential in the dark. Earth cultures loaded this image with demons; Ra’s use is unused spirit, bound in matter, waiting. Potentiator of Spirit is sudden illumination — the Lightning Struck Tower. Structures that kept spirit asleep crack. The Course calls some of this a miracle, and it can feel like loss. Service-to-self uses the dark as a throne and the lightning as a weapon. Service-to-others lets the strike empty the prison and does not rush to a new pose. If your “spirituality” cannot survive a roof coming off, it was the roof.
In a life · A belief about yourself fell over. Devil was the unused spirit under it. Tower was the fall. Sit in the open air. Do not found a new church of the rubble before morning.
Will I use the light I cannot own, in the dark I cannot skip?

The Star is hope you do not get to pocket. The Moon is the night where you either walk by that hope or demand a streetlamp. Faith is the catalyst. The night is the experience.

Catalyst of Spirit is subtle: beauty, prayer, a teacher, the sky, the knowledge you are not alone. Experience of Spirit is the night — confusion, the long walk, the veil at its thickest. People want the Star without the Moon. That is collecting. The pair used well: receive the light (do not argue it into a proof), then take the next honest step in the dark. The Course’s holy instant often looks like the Star. The rest of the day often looks like the Moon. Both are the row.
In a life · You felt, briefly, not alone. Star. Then the old fear came back. Moon. Walk the fear with the brief light still in the pocket. That is the pair. Do not throw out the Star because the Moon arrived.
Have I gotten up — and can I live in the whole without wearing it as a badge?

Judgement is getting up. The World is living in the whole after you have gotten up. Resurrection, then a room. Not a trophy, not a sentence.
The answer
Transformation of Spirit is the significator no longer buried — figures rise because they were never corpses except in dream. Great Way of Spirit is the cosmos as environment, the Adept’s weather, the Universe card. Harvest at planetary scale is this pair. The Course’s Last Judgment is this pair as a correction, not a damnation. You do not wait for a sky-horn. You answer the call that is already in the lesson, the face, the instant. Then you inhabit work, the next person, the ordinary hour — as if the whole were home. Service-to-self judgment is the other court. Service-to-self “World” is a kingdom with a throne. Leave both.
In a life · You answered. You got up. Judgement. Then you did the ordinary thing in that risen state. World. If you announced the rising and skipped the ordinary hour, you are still while pretending.
You, as a mind that can teach or rule, plus The Fool. The exam is love or control. Knowing more is not the grade. Which way the priest faces is.
The answer
Ra pairs every Significator with Arcanum 22. The Hierophant is the mind as it has become — able to speak for the One, or able to run a catalog of specialness. The Choice is not a personality. It is polarity this hour. A priest of service-to-others uses knowing to free the other-self. A priest of service-to-self uses knowing to collect the other-self. Same robe. The Fool is the only adult: he has no robe left, only the step.
In a life · You know more than the person in front of you. Hierophant. The Choice: explain to be right, or explain to help and then stop. Help, then stop.
The Hanged Man plus The Fool. Giving the body over can be love. It can also be a debt you will collect later. The Choice sorts them.
The answer
Significator of Body is the vehicle as it currently is — often pictured yielded, suspended, spent. Paired with The Choice, the question is use. Service-to-others yields so another-self may live. Service-to-self yields as strategy, or refuses to yield and calls that power. Martyrdom as identity is not this card done well. One hidden kindness that costs the body a little and collects no debt: that is the pair.
In a life · You stayed late. Hanged Man. Did you stay to be seen, or so the other person could leave? The Choice is in the motive, not the hours.
The Sun plus The Fool. Spirit as it currently shines. Warmth is service. A spotlight on the self is the other path. Same brightness.
The answer
Significator of Spirit is radiance already in play. The Choice is what the radiance is for. Service-to-others sun: other-selves grow. Service-to-self sun: other-selves orbit. You will not feel the difference as a doctrine. You will feel it as whether you need to be thanked. The Fool steps whether or not the room applauds.
In a life · You were bright in the room. Sun. After you left, were they larger, or smaller? That aftertaste is The Choice, already made. If they were smaller, go back and make them larger. That is the retake.
A day, a week, a year
The same 21 cards as one ordinary story. Mind is a day of thought. Body is a week in the flesh. Spirit is a hard season of choosing. Then live. Do not study all three in one sitting.

After astrology is removed, what remains of distortion is cultural mythos — Egyptian pose, local animals. Penetrate to the heart of the pose. Do not cling to a culture that is not yours. The astrological symbols were not given by Ra.

Where a wand is “the power of will,” Ra often calls it an astrological derivative of the out-reaching hand. Release the wand. Keep the sphere of spiritual nature, if one is there, held by thumb and first two fingers.

Ra called Arcanum 22 The Choice — a breakthrough after their own third density, which had underused it. It is not a cute zero at the front of the deck. Pair it with the Significator.

The Lovers are The Two Paths.
Transformation of the Mind is a fork, not a romance. The card is the Choice inside thought: service-to-others or service-to-self, already, before the body moves.
Ra taught the Major Arcana as a map of the archetypal mind: the deep structure a Logos built so a veiled being could polarize. Venusian third density used these images as a training tool for the magical personality. The contact used an Egyptian tarot as a shared picture. The plates here are the Book IV set L/L Research published for study: Arcana 1–7 redrawn to Ra’s corrections; 8–22 from George Fathman’s The Royal Road. The pictures are a crutch. The complexes are the teaching.
Do not collect them. Do not ask them what will happen later this week. Sit with one. Become it long enough to notice when you are already wearing it. Then live. Book IV is the session work; this page is the deck as a study.

How to study
One card a sitting
Ra’s ethic for the contact is the ethic for the cards. Look until the image is a melody, not a list of symbols. Then close it. The Magician that you can lecture on and cannot inhabit is still unused Matrix.
Columns before the story
Study the same function across mind, body, and spirit: 1–8–15 (the three Matrices), 2–9–16 (the three Potentiators), and so on. The relationship is the teaching. A lone Empress is a pretty woman; Empress–Wheel–Star is catalyst arriving in three rooms.
Then the pairs
Matrix with its Potentiator (1–2, 8–9, 15–16). Catalyst with Experience (3–4, 10–11, 17–18). Transformation with the Great Way (6–7, 13–14, 20–21). Significators with The Choice (5, 12, 19, and 22). The pair is how energy actually moves.
Become it, then notice the hour
Initiates learned to adopt each persona and to know when that adoption helped. If you cannot name which station you played at the family table, the sitting was collecting.
Green before indigo
Archetype work is adept work. Adept work on a closed heart is skipping ahead. One ordinary kindness after a sitting, or the sitting was only pretending.

This is the waiting-room. A mind before it has been taught. A body just awake. Spirit still in the dark. Do not fill it with a story about who you already are.
The unfed potential. That which waits, unused, to be acted upon. Conscious mind at rest. Body in balance before a day uses it. Spirit in the dark before lightning. Empty is not broken. Empty is the condition of beginning.

Something reaches the empty place and makes it able. A quiet thought. A need to rest. A belief that falls over. You do not invent this. You become reachable.
That which reaches into the Matrix and makes it able to work. Unconscious for the mind. Wisdom for the body. Sudden illumination for the spirit. Without this reach, the Magician is a pose.

What shows up: a person, a delay, a hope, an illness. It is not yet your grade. It is food. The next function is what you made of it.
That which happens. People, fortune, hope — offered to the now-potent pair. Neutral until used. The whole workbook is training in meeting this figure without attack.

The case you built, the appetite you handled, the night you walked. Polarize (choose love this hour) is stored here, not in the event.
What you made of what happened. The mind structured. The animal handled. The night of spirit walked. Catalyst plus your will. This is where polarity is actually stored.

Significator
This is you as you are now: the mind that can bless or rule, the body that can give or collect, the spirit that can warm a room or demand thanks. Pair with card 22.
You. The actor. The mind/body/spirit complex as it currently is — the one catalyst acts upon, the one who chooses. Pair each of these with The Choice. That pairing is the whole exam.

An old way is finished: a fork in thought, a use of the body that is over, a self you no longer are. Not a scene. A change of use.
The death of an old configuration. The mind taking a path. The body transmuted. The spirit rising. Not drama. A change of use.

Great Way
How the day moves after the change: thought has a road, the body mixes, spirit lives in the whole. Weather, not a badge.
The environment that appears when transformation has occurred. How energy now moves. A royal road, an alchemy, a cosmos. The new weather, not a new identity to wear at dinner.
The Fool
The Choice
Polarize (choose love this hour): serve the person in front of you, or try to control them. Numbered 22, last. Every other picture trains this step.
Polarity. Service-to-others or service-to-self. Every other station exists so this one can be made in the dark. The Fool steps because the ground is hidden, and still the step is taken.
Read in columns
Same function, three densities of a life: mind, body, spirit. This is how Venusian students were shown the images.
A day of thought: unused morning, a word that arrives, a person, the case you build, you as the one who will vote, love or control in the next sentence, then how the conversation moves.
How the veiled conscious and unconscious process catalyst. Most of what you call “my day” is this cycle. The Course’s entire workbook lives here, then asks the body and spirit to follow.
1 · Unused morning — Before the phone. A mind with the lights on and nobody working yet.
2 · A thought arrives — The no you knew before you had reasons. You did not invent it. You got quiet enough to hear it.
The vehicle as a classroom: waking, rest and food, illness and delay, handling appetite and fear, giving without collecting, an old use ending, then a mix that can live.
The group-center (yellow) vehicle as a curriculum, not an identity. Ra will not let you skip it. The Course’s “I am not a body” is not a dismissal of this cycle. It is a refusal to let the vehicle become the Significator of the Self.
8 · Waking — Hunger, a diagnosis, desire not yet turned into a story. The body in balance, unused.
9 · Rest, food, stop — Wisdom in the bone: leave the party, eat, walk. Not a permission to leave the world.
A hard season of choosing: a stuck pattern, a collapse, a little hope, weeks of fog, a clear generous day, getting up as a new self, then meeting the next person without being thrown.
The longest way home and the most direct. Faith, night, radiance, rising. ACIM’s revelation lives here. You do not skip ahead to it while the mind is still at war and the body is neglected.
15 · The pattern you cannot leave — The same draining loop with a person, a job, or a habit. You feel powerless. Unused spirit, still in the dark — not a demon in charge of you.
16 · The structure falls — The job ends, the relationship ends, a belief about yourself falls over overnight. It feels like ruin because the roof was the prison.
17 · A little hope you cannot pocket — After the collapse, a quiet sense that this might lead somewhere truer. Prayer returns. Do not turn it into a proof.
18 · Weeks of fog — You have chosen love, and now nothing is clear. Old fear, a sickness, doubt. Control demands a streetlamp. Polarize walks the next kind step anyway.
19 · A clear generous day — You help without needing thanks. The room is warmer after you leave. Same brightness used as warmth, not as a spotlight.
20 · The old self is finished — You no longer need the approval, the control, or the story that kept the roof on. Getting up. Not a sentence from the sky.
Polarize (choose love this hour). The Fool is last because the twenty-one stations exist so this step can be taken in the dark.
The one exam. Numbered 22 in this system, not 0 — not a preface, a culmination. All twenty-one stations are in its service.

The Choice is the vote. The Moon is the fog after the vote. Control is often mixed polarity this hour — forcing a person, an illness, or an outcome. Service-to-self is a dedicated life of that control. Most hours are mixed. You polarize by dropping control of this one situation.
