Meaning
The Great Way is not a destination. It is the weather of a transformed cycle. For the mind, the Chariot is directed will — sphinxes or horses, canopy of stars, the Magician finally in motion because Priestess, catalyst, experience, significator, and transformation have done their work. People try to start here. That is why their spirituality is a pose of momentum with no engine.
What the picture is doing
A figure in a vehicle, pulled, canopy overhead. Motion with a polarity. If the beasts pull apart, the way is not yet great — transformation is unfinished.
What Ra asked to keep

Keep
- Two sphinxes: dual possibilities of time-full characters (103.14).
- Replacing a sword with a magical sphere that is spherical and effulgent is acceptable (103.13).
- Face drawn to the side is often Egyptian artistic habit; do not over-read every sidelong look (103.15).
Release
- Letters and stars.
- A sword if you are using it as mere combat — the sphere is the better image of spiritual power.
In a life
A day that runs because you chose, not because you were dragged. Work as service. Speech that knows where it is going. Also: the spiritual career that is only motion. Ask which.
Service-to-others
Will moving as love. The mind a vehicle for the Creator’s looking. Function (lessons 25, 31, 64) as a road.
Service-to-self
The juggernaut. Progress as domination. A mind that cannot stop because stopping would feel like death.
How to sit
After a real choice (card 6), notice the new ease or the new grim speed. That quality is this card. Do not decorate it.
